The A.Y. McDonald Curriculum Library

The A.Y. McDonald Curriculum Library (2nd floor) collection includes children’s and young adult books, media, puppets, puzzles, and lots more! All these materials are available for faculty and students to check out.

In the catalog, create an account to

  • renew items
  • place a hold on material that is checked out
  • see what you have checked out

Check Out Material

Bring items to the Circulation Desk, which is located near the main entrance. Your ID card is your library card.

Open Access

Not a student or faculty member?

The library participates in the State Library of  Iowa's Open Access program, which means that anyone who lives in the state of Iowa may check books out with valid identification (current driver’s license, for example).  We especially welcome teachers and the entire community to use the resources of the A. Y. McDonald Curriculum Library.

Open Access accounts are limited to checking out print materials only. Periodicals, multimedia (such as DVDs), technology (such as Kindles), and interlibrary loan services are not included in the Open Access program.

To create a library account for the Charles C. Myers Library, bring valid identification to the Circulation Desk (front desk).
