The library has over 100,000 print books and over 3000 DVDs, including both academic and leisure titles. There is a small collection of print journals and magazines, primarily leisure magazines. These are also available for checkout, including current issues. Online library materials available to all UD faculty, staff, and students include 200,000 e-books, 50 online article databases, and 8000 streaming films.

How do I search for materials?

To find books, DVDs, CDs, and more, search the online catalog. Need help?  Just ask!

To find articles, images, and streaming films, search one of our nearly 100 databases. When available, video tutorials and mobile versions are linked.

How do I check out & renew materials?

Student borrowing privileges include 2-week circulation for periodicals and media, and 4-week circulation for books.

Online renewals are available through the library catalog's My Account tab (enter ID number from front of university ID card, noting that the first time you'll need to choose Set/Reset Password & follow the prompts. Step by step directions are available here.) Up to 2 renewals per item are allowed as long as an item is not yet overdue and has not been requested by another patron. Most of the library's databases & online journals are available 24/7 with a UD student or faculty network account. Just access them through the library's webpage, and enter your network ID & password when prompted.
