Campus Sustainability: Dump or Donate

What is Dump or Donate?

Did you know that each spring, UD throws away the equivalent of a Boeing 747 full of trash as students move out of the residence halls?  We can do better! Dump or Donate is an end-of-year program to keep items OUT of landfills.Volunteers assist students moving out by gathering materials that can be recycled or donated to area non-profits.

Dump or Donate began in 2015 with student visionaries Freedom Malik & Nathan Berg leading the way.

Want to get involved?  Individuals & groups welcome from UD & beyond! Contact any member of the Green Team, including Adam Hoffman (ahoffman@dbq.edu), Anne Marie Gruber (amgruber@dbq.edu), and Megan Ruiz (mkruiz@dbq.edu). Online sign-up for volunteer shifts will be available through Sign-Up Genius prior to move-out 2016.

Great news!  Dump or Donate has received a grant from Sustainable Dubuque 2015 to purchase supplies!
